20 Tips to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint
Very good suggestions. I have heard that it is poor energey efficiency to turn CFLs on and off as opposed to letting them stay on if the light is going to be needed in a few minutes. Is that true? If so, how long should they be left on as opposed to shutting them off if light is going to be used before too long?
All great suggestions. We’ve been using CFLs for a few years. Some are very expensive and some less expensive, any idea if there is a difference in life of bulbs or quality of the emitted light? (Some have a very broad spectrum, is this the only difference?)
We also recently replaced our old windows and doors and really noticed a difference in heating and cooling costs and know less usage is an environmental savings.
